This view is 180 degrees backward.
We can no longer look at football as just another sport at Ucla. If they want football to stay in business, they'll need to partition it off from the other sports and run it as a profit-making business.
New kinds of executive talent will be needed to replace the sleepy government services bureaucrats they now employ. Executives will need financial incentives, like coaches already have, not the cushy salaried, pensioned and performance neutral contracts now used to employ the dolts at Morgan Center.
If you're right, football is doomed to extinction. If Ucla is "elite" you'll find that your view is of the past, not the future.
