Obviously WAY before my time, but a LEGEND. He's not in the HOF. From research I've done on him, I could not find anything definitive that showed he was part of a scandal.
Closest think I could find was he hit .286 in games they lost and double that in games they won. .286 alone is still a pretty good post season number, let alone if he was in a fix, you wouldn't think he'd hit anywhere near .500 in other games. Supposedly they said outfielders played out of position, gave up triples, and played slower to the ball. I guess it's possible, but no video evidence I'm aware of. Then his defense attorney was appointed by MLB which is a conflict of interest and I believe he received a jury acquittal.
Personally, I think if MLB can not show Rose fixed games, then I'd like to see him enshrined. Since Jackson still isn't in, maybe Rose won't either. Be interesting to see if it's possible
