That’s not how this is going to play out. Ultimately what will occur is the SEC and 10 will become the Premier League. The issue is that we need some additional conference realignment before you can form. The SEC and 10 need to divvy up Florida State, Clemson, Miami, and maybe UNC and UVA. You have to resolve the ND issue. Then the two conferences need to enact a framework for football as to how they want this to work. It would be HUGE.
Thr problem is you still have some schools that don’t belong ie Vandy, Indiana, Illinois, Mississippi state. They don’t deserve golden tickets to go behind thr Green Door. Unfortunately, for the product but good for many, including probably UCLA, I don’t think they will disband the conferences. Too difficult and too much litigation by those not getting the golden ticket.
