To actually coach (Mora had no identity on either offense or defense beyond his "I'm a tough guy" blowhard BS), I think you are grossly underestimating the impact of losing Ulbrich. Not only was his replacement complete garbage, but his departure also led to us losing one of the top LB recruits in the country, a guy that has now been a top NFL LB for several years. We were deservedly getting the reputation for being another LBU and that pretty much evaporated after Ulbrich's departure.
