I had no problem with the play call. In the game with Minnesota, he ran the ball when it was obvious we couldn't run. This is particularly problematic when the obvious play is to run. In these situations, we often end up going backward, so you're essentially trading time on the clock for a down. Against Minnesota, we gave them the ball at midfield with 30 seconds less than they would have had had they thrown an incompletion. In college football, with the stoppage of the clock on first downs, and the prowess of passing attacks these days, unless you have an awesome defense, you're asking for trouble. I'm for staying aggressive, getting first downs, and keeping the clock running that way.
