Five minutes left in the game. Ball on your own 1 yard line. 99 yards to go. And Chipper the Ripper's squad just puts ped state in the wood chipper and grinds them to mulch.
I loved watching Ucla do that to lsu, uw and Utah. But those days are long gone. That's the difference between a team that runs 50 more plays a practice (Ohio state) than Ucla does. They can run the ball when they need to at the end of a game and Ucla cannot.
Let's review:
15 spring practices
20 fall camp practices
10 weeks into the season, 3 practices a week
That's 3,250 more reps that tOSU has had than Ucla has had.
Is it any wonder why Ucla looks like shiit? It's amazing that they don't look even shiitier. Props to the kids that learned under Chip. But 30+ of them are gone next year. What then? Could be ugly.
