Having the 2nd longest home winning streak in Div 1 is nothing to poo paw. Add in, UDub has the #19 best D in Div 1, which is not a good combo against UCLA's struggling #119 O (out of 133 Div 1 teams).
That said, UCLA is right in this one, albeit the Dubs do get the 2H kick.
Costly roughing penalty of Oladejo (one of our 3 best D players) with 4 1/2 mins left in the half which negated a UCLA INT and ended up in a Wash TD.
Meanwhile, is our punter Richter a double agent for the Dubs?
UCLA is down to their 3rd string LT which has hurt our run game (a mere 31 yds in the half), exacerbating the pressure on Garbers. In that regard, both D's are setting the pace of the game and controlling the line of scrimmage, keeping the play in tight with the QBs under constant pressure.
The total yds are as close as can be, with UCLA at 163 yds of total O and Dub at 156. In the words of some guy from Westwood, this one likely winds up a ballburner, where a single turnover (UCLA has 1 & Wash has none) could decide the game (UDub has a much stronger net turnover ranking over UCLA).
