This picture appears to have been taken when the captains came out for the coin toss. In most L.A. stadiums I've been in, there are often a lot of folks not in their seats when the game begins. It's due to folks not allowing enough time, and to folks out of their seats at the food concessions. And my recollection--I haven't been to the Coliseum in years--is that getting spectators through the entry gates is not very efficient.
