There obviously wasn't a big pool to select from when Foster was hired as HC and there weren't exactly a lot of options for OC when EB when he was hired on. My impression back then was he was probably going to be OC for 2 years at the most, but realistically it was more likely a 1 year gig for him.
I just saw a report that the guy from Indiana is taking the Ucla OC job. Sounds like that has probably been in the works for a bit then.
