Foster did some great things this year, #1 being keeping the team together after Chip bailed. We also improved rather steadily despite a really bad offense and he immediately made a move to fix that the day after the season.
With a better offense (and not being down to our 4th string LT late), there were 4 more winnable games if we could have scored some 2nd half points.
If one posits that Kelly stayed, and was all-in, we probably end up...about 5-7 (we probably beat LSU, probably lose to one of Rutgers/Neb on the road, probably lose to Iowa or Minnesota but beat SC - we could also have easily had one of Kelly's mind blowingly bad November losses, which would be Fresno). That's **if** Toia stays, Foster was able to do that, I doubt Kelly would have been able to do it.
