When we came into the conference, we could have bargained that our conference games in September be on the road. And, if that's not enough, we could schedule a non-con game with a team that would be willing to come to UCLA mid-season - SEC teams have mid-season non-con games. It's doable.
Front loading our road games would not be a problem if the Athl Dept gave a damn about it. It would give more exposure of the team to students. And, it would place more of our road trips at a time when the team doesn't have any academic demands. Why fly out to Indiana or Michigan State in October, when that could be done in September?
And, in the Pac, UCLA certainly had to leverage to get accomodations like that. They should have demanded that when Utah and CU were added.
