During the year I would hear grumbling from USC fans about their ineffective NIL program. That puzzled me giving the school’s history of rich football donors. I remember the old days when Sam Gilbert was associated with UCLA and SC fans would claim outrage over his activities . At that time it was very satisfying when a LA Times columnist chastised SC fans in his column, stating that USC had dozens of Sam Gilbert’s. But anyway what SC fans saying about a poor NIL program is true. I just saw a listing of the top 25 NIL programs in dollars, with amounts running from $20 million plus down to $9 million and USC isn’t on the list. So certainly they’re not a likely destination for a $4 million QB. I guess their alumni are as disorganized as ours.
