UNLV was a really good team this year, so I expected them to beat Cal regardless. UNLV typically averages 3.7 wins a year, so what Odom did in 2 years was truly amazing. It would have been fun to see UNLV get a shot at a bigger Bowl game at full strength, but it is what it is.
Now if Jackson Woodard (UNLV's LB) would have not played, that would have been DRAMATIC. That guy is everything you like about a college football player including very smart. Think he'll be a solid NFL player.
Honestly, I was impressed with how Cal prepared to contain Williams. They did a really good job, because he's usually their leading rusher.
