Yes, the allegedly better teams also have home field, which in NCAA football, is usually at least a starting line of -3.5 for the home team. Also, all of the home teams tend to have better than average homefield, AND should have full stadiums, so I'd probably raise the base home field advantage to at least 5 points in these games, especially for teams going from the south to the north.
So, if these had been neutral site games, subtract on average at least 6 points from each spread.
