However, Klatt gives allar a more heroic treatment.
Klatt blames the WR for running a terrible route. Klatt says that the wr didn't go fast enough in the vertical stem to drive back the db. And then didn't carry speed into the "in" move. Which allowed the db to undercut the route and beat the wr to the spot where the qb thought the wr should be.
Klatt claims that allar threw blindly late and over the middle. But to my eye, allar definitely is NOT throwing with anticipation. This situation is a "see it, throw it" one. NO QB should EVER read option 1 and 2 on the left side, then blindly whip to the backside in as #3 without 1st checking to see that the coast is clear. Allar did that. He looked 1st. Then decided to attempt to squeeze one in. And it failed.
