they interviewed a guy covering the Senior Bowl and he said he expect more and more chatter about Moliki Matavao, UCLA tight end, as the draft approaches.
He said TEs generally fall into two different categories: great big guys who add another OL to you on the line and tall, less heavy guys who run good routes but aren't going to get in front of opponents. Problem, he said, is that the defense knows if it's the first type out there you are prepared to run the ball and if it's the other type you're looking to pass the ball.
But he said UCLA's Matavao is 6'6" and 270 but he runs can catches the ball like a guy who is 240 and that's a pretty uncommon combination to find.
