I'm not sure what fantasy world he thinks the UC Regents would give up the trademark of the Bruins to a third party for this purpose. Even for sake of argument if happened, the Rose Bowl, the Big 10, etc have contracts with UCLA. Medical coverage insurance is through UCLA. The practice facilities are at UCLA. Any liability coverages are supplied through UCLA. Police protection, traffic control, etc are done with UCLA. Broadcasting and multimedia rights are with UCLA. I'm sure there's a laundry list I'm missing that go through UCLA.
Does anyone rational really think that all those entities would provide new contracts to a supposed organization that theoretically is UCLA but doesn't use UCLA? Maybe we can get P Diddy to fund it all since he is obviously clean as you get and plenty money to burn.
