Day told Joel Klatt on Fox Sports last night that he discussed with Chip when he was hired that Kelly could return to the NFL after one season at Ohio State. Knowing this, Day still opted to hire Kelly. Their joint dream, said Day, was a national championship.
It's also being reported in Columbus that Kelly will receive $6 million with Raiders, which was his salary at UCLA.
