UCLA was and is never going to care as much about football as the top programs, but it supported Mora pretty well when he started off strong; he just f'd it up.
UCLA also gave Chip more in terms of resources than it had prior UCLA coaches. But he f'd it up too.
At this point, UCLA may have indeed given up on football and may be just happy to take a dive in the B1G for a payday. I don't follow it closely, but if what Clockblocker posted happens (teams will share revenue with players and reign in the phony NIL system we have now) maybe we can get back into the mix.
I realize I am hitting the hopium pipe a little bit here but maybe revenue sharing and a surprising performance in 2025 can kickstart UCLA football. I'm a straight-up, card carrying crank but I'm going to 2 games this year after having stayed away for the better part of a decade. So maybe that is some small sign that things aren't hopeless. Now let me get back at this pipe ...
