I'm quite happy to see the kids getting paid.
In the book The Fab Five, there's a scene (who know whether it actually happened) where the guys are walking down the streets at night, hungry, with no money to buy food, and there in the window is a maniquen with a #5 (Webber's number) Michigan jersey.
I think it's some not wanting them to get paid, some that feel like the fluidity will engender less interest in the individual players, some that just feel like it's unseemly, some think it will reduce UCLA's ability to compete, and some just don't like change.
But, the players in positive net income sports should be paid. And the portal should be open.
