Ucla had 12 ol at practice today. They all look pretty fit. As a result, their feet and balance was pretty good in pass pro drills.
Akinshilo (69) gets the award for most improved body. He looks good at LG.
Jacob Busic (97) practiced today, even though he's in the TP. He has the best combo of power and quickness when it comes to pass rushing. He's the only guy that "won" 1on1 pass rush/pass pro reps. Even then, it would have been a "flush" and not a sack.
I think Luke Duncan looked pretty good. Big kid, pretty good feet, throws a nice ball, gets the ball out on time, plenty of arm strength.
I also like Henry Hasselbeck. When he decides to pull it down, he gets to 60 very quickly. He's fine on the short stuff. I didn't see him try to push it down the field.
On the d, there were a lot of plays where Ucla's receivers were wao in the middle of the field. Like, no one within 3 or 4 yards of the target. That's not a good sign.
True fr Scott Taylor us playing ILB... he looks just like kain Medrano out there. Moves very well in space playing pass d.
