WAFJ. Ucla is one of the most mismanaged, poorly and stupidly run D1 football programs in America. And Bolch thinks they're in hock to the tune of $200mm....because they gave away the T-shirt concession to ASUCLA.
NO! Ucla Athletics' ongoing (7 years and counting) debtor in possession bankruptcy was caused by their inept failure to evolve from a bureaucratic rules based order (NCAA era) to a capitalist, price based order (transfer portal- NIL era). That they were a toss-in to the B10 contract saved their asses for a few years, but the financial reckoning is on its way. Jarmond and his crew need to go. Now.
Martin Jarmond succeeded Guerrero and believe it not, made the situation worse, taking the program right down the financial sh*tter. They've f'd up everything from the venue, Rose Bowl seating, ticket prices, uniform contract to the schedule, the coaching and the NIL program. Everything. Everything is a mess because of these glorified DMV employees (no offense to DMV employees).
Ucla is so bad that the only way to save the Bruins football team is to cleave them away from these idiots. Get ready for that in 5 - 7 years. Morgan Center has morphed into and looks determined to remain a bunch of mush minded political salary suckers and pension seekers who are each and collectively unable to make smart business decisions and compete in D1 football.
Only a complete assh*le like Bolch would stoop to this level of crap slinging in describing the financial failure of Ucla Athletics. Ucla is in a hole because it's a mindless bureaucracy in a capitalist business. It's people suck at their jobs, they have zero talent for this. But no one gets fired. Now Bolch's trying to whistle past the graveyard with this piece of make-believe, he has deepened the soil on his already sleazy reputation. Ucla and Bolch are like two sacks of wet horsesh*t holding each other up.
Fire Ucla. Get them the f away from the football program.
