Against tOSU, Nico went 14-31, 104 yards. No td's.
Georgia, Nico went 20 for 33, 167 yards, no td's. Comparable to JM, except that, as you note, Nico already had three starts by that point.
The next week and lowly Miss St. he threw 13 total passes.
vs. Bama, 14-27, 1 td, 1 int
vs. FLA, 16-26, 0 td, 1 int
vs. OK, 13-21, 1 td
vs. NCSt, 16-23, 2 td's and 2 int's. He managed to throw 2 picks, in a game where he's had the whole season to learn the O, and his team won 51-10.
In contrast, Martyn, in his first ever start, against a defense that was better than most of those teams', much better in many cases, went 22 of 30 for 167 yards, w/ a TD, in a game where nothing else was working.
Who do you think had more talent around him on offense?
Nico is getting what, 2.5 million is the last amount I read. Martyn would certainly be getting less than a million.
Do the facts scream "Let's pay this guy who put up worse numbers with a better team with more opportunities to practice and perform in games, well over a million bucks more than the other guy"? Seriously? You don't think we could have used that well-over a million bucks to bring in help on the D-line? Help that will be here for multiple years?

Here's one for you - please answer this question - who had the better offensive coordinator?
Who had vastly more talent around him?
Who had the better HC?
You think that they guy who is the answer to that question, yet managed to perform worse against good defenses, (sometimes not even great defenses, just good defenses), is work running two four star QB's off the roster, and paying him well over a million bucks more?
And, you think that's not even a question that's worth asking?
For a guy from a family that has already dumped 3 schools?
