First, let's be honest here. You're diversion wasn't for tilt-a-whirl kurt. He's on OF all the time. He knows who I am. You know that. You had terrible answers for my questions, so you lit a dumpster fire to distract from that fact. Dude, if you can't be honest on a (mostly) anonymous internet chatboard. That's sad. :-(. And, it would have been so easy. Rather than bringing kurt into it, you could have just said "BUT, BUT, YOU'RE A 911 CONSPIRACY THEORIST!!!!" Which is what you did, but you added the lie about kurt.
I'm a little surprised that your fear of answering these four questions:
"Who had more opportunities to learn their offense?
Here's one for you - please answer this question - who had the better offensive coordinator?
Who had vastly more talent around him?
Who had the better HC?"
Same effect. And, you don't have to lie about your intentions. You're welcome.
Since you drew everyone's attention away from football talk...(well done)
Yes, a poster on OF was denigrating the idea of "conspiracies." I misread it as him saying that conspiracies don't really exist. In my misread of his meaning, I listed things that are obvious conspiracies that obviously exist. Including price fixing. And, I said, "I don't think we know everything about what happened on 9/11. I don't spend much time thinking about it, because there's nothing I can do about it." I did go deep into the "facts" of 9/11. But, then the 9/11 report came out, and I was like fuggit. The whole thing is redacted. In the wake of there having been no real consequences to the Iran-Contra stuff. I lost my illusions. I don't spend a lot of time on politics anymore.
So, yep, I said that. Excellent Diversion! I was surprised and, you know, a little disappointed to see you go down the NYB/Triumph the Insult Comic Dog route with your "beat off" jibe. But, dude, I swear, here, in public, that I have NEVER beaten off ....... to college football player highlights.
Now, if we can portal back to a sane discussion.
Let's start from the very beginning. I said "don't know why a highly touted HS QB would come to UCLA."
And, then "They had a guy that had a solid game in his first start at Penn State, passing for a TD and no Int's, in a game where our leading rusher had 38 yards. The motivation at least partially being to draw attention to the program.
This for a guy that played ok in the SEC, got run out of the program for holding out for almost double the money, from a family where they've dumped three schools already.
Will Iamaleva be better than Martyn? If so, how much will it cost to keep him? Will he stay?
It's not what I'd have done. But then you know that. We've been over and over and over this."
If expressing the opinion "It's not what I would have done" makes me a contrarian. Well, yep, I'm a contrarian.
Ya, I'm disappointed that JM didn't look that great in Maryland spring ball. I'm still hoping he wins the job. But, he may very well not.
If Nico is here for the 2027 season and has a great season, then I'll be stoked and I'll happily admit I'm wrong. It's an internet chatboard ffs. Who cares? Hell, here's one for you - I posted fairly regularly and confidently that Abram Canko would develop into a nice contributor for the basketball team. I don't know how you can get more wrong than that. (George Constanza voice): If you want "wrong", baby ....
Lastly, you reacted like that because these four questions (Who had more opportunities to learn their offense?
Here's one for you - please answer this question - who had the better offensive coordinator?
Who had vastly more talent around him?
Who had the better HC?) are a "list of nonsense"?
That's like a little insane, don't you think?
That's ok. You've got this to look forward to. If Nico is here and plays great in 2027, and Madden stays and plays great? You're going to be the happiest guy on the board. For one, UCLA football will presumably be doing well. And, for the next 10 years, any time I post anything, you can reply "The Iamaleava Brothers, you 911 Conspiracy Theorist!"
May we all live that long.
Peace.
