Every team is now a year-to-year proposition. The days of needing years to build a program are over, if they ever even existed.
If DF is to succeed at UCLA, you should see something this year. A much-improved offense under Sunseri, some steady defense, better in-game decision-making by DF, a higher football IQ team, etc. And a stirring victory or two that lets you know there is life here.
If we don't win at least 6 games, it's just not going to work. For one thing, the solid class we have lined up for 2026, which is still unsigned, will start to peel away. We will also see more transfers as reality sets in that we are not in fact building something good (which seems to be the narrative with recruits right now).
DF needs to show something right now. So do other 2nd-year guys Like Jedd the Fisch, Jonathan Smith, etc.
