and it was the Big10 calling to inform him he was moving to their league. Jarmond had zero input into that decision. That was the B10, ESPN and, likely, Usc. Jarmond created zero dollars of the payout boost the move provided. He gets zero credit for any part of it.

He has zero positive input into any material requirement for success in CFB. He's given Ucla the worst schedule in the nation for two straight years. Before that, he arranged a hideous non-conference schedule with games against nobody cares mid-major programs staged at 11am. No one came. That got dumped on Chip. More broadly, he's destroyed the Rose Bowl as a supportive venue for fans or for the Bruins. The paucity of fans, the idiotic seating regimes, the stupid pricing strategy and the lack of energy in the bowl are almost a reverse home field advantage.

The TV presentation he's created is pathetic. Acres of empty sunny-side seats, tarps covering still more acres of unused endzone capacity. Weakness on display from goal post to goal post underscoring the futility of Ucla.

Jarmond's staging of the team at the Rose Bowl is mocked openly and is one of the worst in the nation.

He fought NIL when it began instead of embracing it. He banned Men of Westwood from on-campus activities and from advertising in Ucla media. Men of Westwood was excluded from Ucla fundraising events. He discouraged WAF donors from making NIL contributions, warning that NIL might be "illegal". What a f'ing dumbass.

He, personally, put the Bruins and Chip two years behind the competitors who embraced NIL and grabbed talent that broke, threadbare Ucla had no hope of acquiring. Chip had to spend what little money he had in the portal, and was rewarded with jeers of "lazy recruiter". (The Ucla fan base is flat out stupid.)

Blessed by its location in the largest media market stocked with some of the most brilliant marketing people in the world, Jarmond has not only failed to tap into those resources but has instead depleted the Bruin brand to the point of irrelevance.

Imagine what a competent business person with any sort of marketing/branding ability could do with the Bruins in LA with the rich resources available to promote and boost the brand. Instead of big city, media capital, sophisticated and professional marketing and brand management, we have Jarmond running the brand into the minor leagues.

He has no idea how to compete. All he might know how to do is internal bureaucratic maneuvering to feather his own nest, like the empty throne extension he engineered for himself before Frenk (nothingburger) arrived as the new chancellor.

Jarmond's talentless and functionally impotent. Morgan Center is well past its prime. It's a dead zone. Time for the Bruins to move away and move on.
