I have a bit of excitement starting to build. The craziness that happened in the off season prior to last year really had a negative impact on me. And honestly, in Kelly's last season, I had pretty much checked out in the middle of it. I don't know if I'd say we'd hit rock bottom, but it felt pretty close for me so now that there's been time to put together a coaching staff that seems to have some excitement to it, this may turn out to be a year that has some surprises in store. I'm not looking for miracles, but Ucla may turn out to be that team that others shouldn't look past.
From an objective POV, the HC's I'm curious about are Foster, Odom at Purdue, and Mullen at UNLV because of my Vegas ties. Odom worked miracles at UNLV and deep down, I had hoped maybe he may end up at Ucla. Curious to see what he does at Purdue. Mullen is obviously someone with a reputation that comes into a program with some confidence although most have left. And Ucla comes to Vegas the 2nd week.
Right now, I hope Ucla can put together a bit of a run and have at least one home game that has that home field feel again. I honestly can't remember the last time I've felt a home field advantage.
