should be for an average game. I would expect 50K by now. Winning teams should bring in the fair weather fans and get that number to 70-80K.

The Utah game had always been a well attended game and quite frankly, last year's team was close to .500 and there was some preseason optimism that UCLA could start the season at 3-1 or 4-0. Under 30K tells me there are other serious issues.

For me, if the game was at 12:30, I would have jumped on a plane and come out for the day. 8pm starts just DO NOT WORK. PERIOD. Just to show you how people can get fed up with these stupid start times, more then half the crowd walked out of the 2nd Women's semifinal at the US Open during the 2nd set. Late start times just so not work unless it's a major matchup.

Just too many variables that have killed off the core base crowd for UCLA football.
