We did get a lot more TV exposure (and, I believe) money than most other schools from the 60's-80's because of the networks who had ALL of College Football licensing were in LA, had LA alums, and put LA schools on TV. But when the CFA (college football association) got broken up, and it went to the conferences in the early 90's, that was the beginning of the end for UCLA (and 'SC, while doing much better, isn't doing well either).
