There was a whole list of things Kelly presented to jarmond when they met in January for the annual "performance review" meeting. (Chip wanted to meet before Xmas but jarmond had vacation)
Jarmond said no to the vast majority. He did say yes to a "gm" position. Chip hired a guy from Oregon to be the gm, but he was pissed that jarmond just said "no" without the courtesy of saying "let me go to bat for you with my boss, and see what I can do"
THAT is when chip decided, "fvck you, Ucla, I'm out" and he started looking around
