I don't know the costs, but I have seen discussions of how the cost of going to games at the Rose Bowl keeps going up.
I suspect it is twisted logic. They aren't making enough money because so few people are attending games, so they try to make it up by raising prices, leading to even fewer people attending games.
The good news is that with attendance so low, if you want to buy tickets on the aftermarket, they are available for really low prices. I am going with my UW graduate daughter to the Washington game, and tickets on the 50-yard-line are going for just over $100.
