Who thought the player of the game was going to be Anthony Frias? Who even expected Frias to carry the ball?
I wasn't thrilled with Jerry's play calling in this game. It seemed like we were running the ball up the middle on first down a very high percentage of the time. After a while I was yelling at him to throw it on first down.
Since we seem to have trouble with pass protection, why don't we use more screen passes? Do we even have one?
Here's my "Bah! Humbug! post of the week. The three teams we have beaten are a combined 1-11 in Big Ten play. They have a total of 2 wins over P4 teams. Those two wins are over Wisconsin, the worst team in the Big Ten, and over Boston College, the worst team in the ACC.
These wins are definiteyl a big improvement over getting blown out by New Mexico, and I am having more fun. Maybe it's battered Bruin syndrome, but I am still not convinced we are all that good.
