I was always surprised that Fisher didn't pan out at A&M.

Former SEC assistant coach and a NC at FSU. I remember looking at video of the training facilities at A&M and thought it was going to be easy for Fisher to win at A&M. The buyout was crazy high, but I really thought the question would be how many NC's Fisher would have?

Now Elko is killing it right now there. Personally, I think the Brian Kelly hire at LSU was odd, but it really is hard to say which coach is right for which program. I still look at Luke Fickell who was maybe the hottest name around and now he seems terrible. It really is tough to tell who the right hires are as far as being 'elite'.
