What's better for the program? Not what's better for the tailgaters or sun worshippers, or mountain lovers.
IMO, recruits will want SoFi. Because of that, the new coach will want SoFi. That's enough for me.
The whole program needs a serious makeover, and now seems like as good a time as any to do it. There's the money issue, but I'm going to assume UCLA will only end up making the move if they think it will benefit us financially. To me, the Rose Bowl is itself a symbol of how outdated we've let ourselves become. We'd might as well bring back halftime card shows and neck rolls for the players.
I really don't think our players are going to be going without a locker room. Some things will not be as good. Some will be better. People will adjust.
And it may not even happen.
