LSU came to Allegiant to play $c. It was fun, but it was not the college game day experience that LSU typically has. I've been to LSU multiple times and thw stadium is no where near what the Rose Bowl is, but everyone has fun. Been to ASU multiple times and their stadium is decent, but the atmosphere is electric. ASU uses the heat to their advantage and win.
There is no question that the Rose Bowl is one of if not the most beautiful stadiums in the world. Every team Ucla plays, their fans travel to be there, but somehow Ucla fans have issues?
Since an on campus stadium is never happening and Ucla fans have to drive an hour on average no matter where they play, why would anyone be excited about paying huge money and risk sacrificing identity to get something you can just do on Sunday. NFL stadiums are not designed for the average fan. They are designed for PREMIUM seating. Average fan gets the leftovers.
As far as the sun, no one complains at Dodger, Padre, or Angel games. Is it magically worse in Pasadena? Come on.
I know Raider games get taken over by opposing fans and I hear that is quite common in LA, so I just do not get the excitement to make things more bland and give opposing fans something supposedly better.
We Ucla fans really have suffered first world problems.
