He had two very bad seasons to start out, and since then has had a winning record overall across seven seasons at two stops. In his time at SJSU, he had as many winning seasons as they'd had in the two decades before him.
He's nowhere near the top of my list but he's a credible backup option.
Toledo was basically a .500 coach after McNown, despite scoring some big recruiting classes. He was also 14-30 at Pacific and 15-40 at Tulane.
