so I probably wasn't paying enough attention and the play was likely a third down and not a fourth down. Quite likely with lots of dog drama going on (nursing an old dog now dealing with kidney disease and working in a new adoptee which takes focus and consistency in training for the big guy.)
Thank you, DB - that's what I thought the rule was but hadn't realized it was applied specifically to fourth downs.
