raised was the "seat pitch", the amount of space for your legs/knees before they hit the back of the person sitting in the row in front of you. IIRC it was said the the "run and rise" of the original row design was adequate for bench seats but too short for the seat backs installed in the early 80's and way too short for the full stadium seats installed in the 2000's.
I am of the belief that to rectify this comfort issue, there will be a major renovation of the rows and aisles and that seems to me to be a very costly redo, much more than a new scoreboard or sound system of luxury lounge/bar.
