That for every possible use, the Rose Bowl sucks.
As bad as it is for Football games, it's magnitudes worse as a music venue. And it's so highly thought of as a soccer venue that world's largest sporting event's matches in LA this coming summer will be played at Sofi. And Taylor Swift, her wildly successful LA concert dates were performed at Sofi. In short, no major concert promoters are ever going to look at the Rose Bowl as the venue of choice in LA, and the fact that it was passed over as a World Cup venue speaks volumes. I would wager that over the next decade, perhaps two at the most, as the influence of boomers and their nostalgia for anything harkening back to their glory days wanes, a growing sentiment will take hold to explore how the Rose Bowl site should be redeveloped to best serve the City of Pasadena and it's residents in the world that presently exists.
I get that you love the Rose Bowl and that's fine, no judgment, everyone is entitled to their opinions, but the problem is that by all available attendance metrics, it appears that only a small and dwindling number of people seem to share your opinion.
