I don't know what being a third tenant even means. Are they going to interrupt our games at halftime to let the Rams do their walkthrough? Will half the toilets be cordoned off? It's not like the Rose Bowl treats us like we're special.
To me, the Rose Bowl is pretty sterile. It has a county fair, municipal facility vibe. The staff are pretty uninterested and sometimes rude.
Come on, do you really doubt that recruits would prefer SoFi? That's kind of like saying they may prefer VHS to streaming, or a Thomas Guide to navigating on their cell phone. It's closer to the airport for those that have family coming in for games. It's more glamorous. To them, it's not even close.
I personally have never liked the way Pasadena handled the Rose Bowl. I've seen the police chase those poor hot dog vendors around. They used to do undercover arrests of people selling their tickets outside the stadium. And if you rush the field they will beat your azz. UCLA could beat SC 55-0 and cap off a 12-0 season, and they would still beat your azz.
