One wonders if a small factor was the recent leak of the Cal series, and if Jarmond was poised to sign it Cal games don't sell well at all and Cal doesn't travel. Locking us into a 'rivalry' with a lesser program who won't sell tickets was going to be very disappointing to this alum at least, while also having a negative impact at the box office.
