He just doesn't look for the receiver who is open underneath. He wants the long pass and he's just absolutely going to throw the long pass. So it's an incomplete pass with a receiver coming open at about the ten yard line. And that butchered short pass to a wide open guy not far downfield on that play where he was rolling to his left was just awful.
He's a terrific runner and a leader and he's three for three on drives already but he just has to be taught to go through reads - plural - and not to lock onto his receiver like a kid right out of high school if we're going to realize our potential this season. Happy with where we are but those plays where he just locks in are so frustrating.
