When was the last time our defense was the definition of who we were? I can remember only one team where the defense was dominant. Still last week we only saw a few highlights of a good defense and still a few holes. But we can see something growing. Something is waking up. Defense is a team mindset, a focus, a dedication of controlled chaos. And defense wins championships is known because without it you don’t survive the games where the offense goes cold, the umpires wave too many flags, and the stadium noise drowns out your offense. The championship team survives those obstacles with a strong defense. If we are going anywhere big this season it will be because of what our defense is calling themselves, the Bruin Bullies. They are changing their mindset, they are changing the team, and it is their time to shine!
