Mike Ditka, who passed away the other day played in three games against UCLA, 1958-60. Pitt won two of them, one on a 47 yard 4th down pass with 49 seconds left followed by a 16 yard TD pass with 31 seconds left. (History sort of repeats in the 2022 Sun Bowl.) Here's the 1960 game program:
