Draft pick vs value. Regardless of where they got drafted they are now all among the very highest paid players in the league, so obviously the GMs, owners, and coaches place a lot of value on them, and the results strongly suggest that the value isn't misplaced. Evaluation may be an inexact science, so some teams get lucky and hit on later round qb's, but as soon as they hit, the pay up, and the one's that draft early pick busts are going down swinging as well. The bottom line is that even more so than college football, the NFL is QB driven. You need to play good defense, but you will not score points without a good QB. Wr's cant look off a safety or throw the ball to themselves, RBs can't make sure the right play is called. QBS along with the center call out all of the protections, they make sure they have the right play vs the look they are getting, they have to process presnap and then instantly after the ball is hiked and get the ball to the right person. If it was easy, everyone would have a good QB, as it is, most teams don't.
