On the campaign trail he admitted he was considering pardoning Enrique Tarrio the leader of the Proud Boys. But we didn't know until this week he also wants to pardon Stewart Rhodes of the Oath Keepers. Both were found guilty of seditious conspiracy.
In a recent case where an Oath Keeper cooperated and got a light sentence, the judge in the case said it was terrifying to think Trump might pardon Rhodes and let him go. This was the first time it was public that Trump was considering doing it, and Trump has NOT denied he is.
Rhodes was the one who had the Oath Keepers stash weapons at nearby hotels on Jan 6, at his order they were going to get those guns and use them to attack the capitol and wage war.
His ex wife testified he openly talked about it, war against the government. Fellow members have admitted under oath that was his plan, if Trump didn't declare martial law they would take it into their own hands including killing members of Congress.
