AOC is all over it. They never showed Congress ANY credible evidence that Tik Tok was actually doing anything wrong. She voted against the ban from the beginning and was very critical of Biden signing it.
Trump targeted several "Chinese" companies in 2020, one was actually owned by Taiwanese called Super Micro. He never took any real action against them, and surprise, the CEO of Super Micro donated to Trumps campaigns in both 2020 and 2024.
I expect one of the billionaires who gave Trump money will end up with partial ownership of Tik Tok, probably part of the deal.
