Roughly 40% or less of the country has a college degree. If you look in past years the percentages are even less.
Part of the problem of the Dems is that much of the culture that has been pushed in colleges isn't what the mainstream is interested in. The majority of adults are non-college-educated.
Dems have had a college-centric viewpoint and vocabulary imo that has pushed away many who are just not interested in making sure they are using the right terms like Latin X, a term that most Hispanics don't use. Many don't want to learn how to use pronouns correctly. I respect people's pronouns but I don't expect everyone to be where I am. We are all on an arc.
Voters also aren't interested in Dems trading political capital for issues that affect a small minority like, trans athletes over kitchen table issues. (I am pro-trans rights however I am describing why we lost the election).
Your basic attitude that the largest adult population in the country (non-college-educated adults) aren't worthy of a proportional say in our politics, is why we continue to lose union workers and men of color each election. Those are the non-college-educated voters you think shouldn't have a say.
Dems used to be the party of the non-college educated. We have lost respect for who used to be our base.
