Lutnick in an interview said he had sold 1000 gold cards yesterday and raised 5 billion dollars. THere's 37 million people worldwide who can afford this path to citizenship, Trump believes we can sell at least 1 million. It's brilliant.
And then a couple of minutes later Lutnick conceded there's not even an application form for the card yet, "Elon is 2 weeks away from completing that", you can't buy a gold card now, there's no formal process and there's no vetting process yet but he still insisted he sold 1000 they're just waiting for the process to be finalized.
It's NOT citizenship it's a green card, Lutnick said "enhanced permanent residency" but didn't explain what that means. They also have not explained the actual vetting process. Mentioned before NZ had this plan and cancelled it, there's was 3 million, for 2 reasons. Very few people were willing to pay that much, and they found drug smugglers and terrorist groups were trying to apply to use it as a means of money laundering.
