they should have been doing things like that from the start, or at least since Doge started raiding federal agencies. They should have been throwing themselves into the Doge offices. They should have been surrounding the federal agency buildings daring the Doge bros to go through them, daring the police to arrest them. They should have been marching down the Pennsylvania avenue to the White House. They should not have showed up at Trump's address to the congress or should have got up and left while he was talking (guess what everyone would have been speaking about that day, not Trump's primate-like chest beating, for sure). They should be having Booker like speeches at least a few times a week. They should not have voted for any of Trump's nominees. And most certainly they should not have, under any circumstances, let the CR be passed in the senate and should have been screaming bloody murder in Schumer's face until he gets the message through his slow moving dumb head. They should be talking to the media out there every f*cking day about how Trump is using the office to bend law firms into submission, and violating free speech rights in the academia (it would have also helped that at some point they acknowledged the fundamental humanity of the Palestinian people in a public statement, but hey, I'm sure that's a bridge too far for that bunch.)
And these are the first few things that pop in my head without knowing what other levers there are out there that they can pull or what other examples they can follow wrt what happens in other countries where democracy is slowly being choked to death.
They *do* have a voice. They just don't want to use it because it starts with the extremely scary premise that they actually stand for somethig and speak out as loudly as they can (instead of playing nice as if everything is normal and the masses will one day just wake up on their own). They should be acting like someone lit a fire under their butts. Because if that fire is not lit, the only way we're going to get any reaction from this bunch is if they start sensing that they may be primaried because of their terminal passivity.
